Themes and The Growing Years
From the beginning of their life, we brand our kids. Some moms-to-be have a “Little Peanut” or “Sweet Pea”, even a “Little Bean”. Those charming nicknames may carry on after birth or may be substituted for more cuddly or gender appropriate nicknames - “Sweetheart”, “Pumpkin” or “Angel”. As our children grow and develop their own personality and quirkiness, their nicknames evolve yet again. “Slugger” and “Princess” are popular too.
Through each phase of our child’s life, we associate “things” and gift ideas with their current nickname. A couple such examples are bedroom themes and themed kids clothing.
